What Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger’s First Days With Baby Lyla Are Like

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are settling into parenthood with their new daughter Lyla, and E! and People got intel from sources about what these first few days with their baby have been like. The couple announced their daughter’s birth on Instagram on August 10. “We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “We couldn’t be happier and we feel extremely blessed!”

A source told People that Schwarzenegger and Pratt have just been staying at home, getting to know their girl. “Everyone is doing well,” the source said. “They haven’t left their house since they returned home from the hospital. They just want to bond with the baby and get to know her. They have some help and [Schwarzenegger’s mom] Maria [Shriver] also makes sure they have everything they need. Lyla is adorable.”

“And Kat has the best attitude,” the source continued. “She is obviously still tired, but she loves being a mom. She is so positive and excited about the whole experience. She loves seeing Chris with their girl. He is such a good dad. This was one of the things that Kat was attracted to from the beginning: Chris loves being a dad. Kat feels very lucky that Lyla gets to grow up with Chris as a dad.”

A separate source told People that “Kat had a good pregnancy, and she is hoping for a quick recovery—so far, so good. She is going through all the first-time-mom emotions. She is extremely happy but a bit tired and overwhelmed.”

Schwarzenegger and Pratt have had regular visits from her parents and siblings, E! was told by a source. The family has been “coming by daily for short visits.”

“Katherine and Chris are over the moon and adjusting well,” that source added. “Katherine is such a natural mom and Chris is a very hands on dad. They couldn’t be happier.”
