Diptyque continues the story of one of its most recognizable fragrances, Orphéon. In 2026, the brand presents a new interpretation of the composition in the format of an eau de toilette, revealing another, brighter and more vibrant side of this Parisian legend.

Orphéon is a fragrance with a strong cultural code. It was inspired by the eponymous jazz club next to the Diptyque boutique at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain, a place where artists, musicians and intellectuals met in the 1960s. It was this atmosphere of freedom, late-night conversations and creative energy that became the starting point for the original Orphéon Eau de Parfum, created by Olivier Peche in 2021.
The new version, Orphéon Eau de Toilette, interprets this mood differently. Perfumer Nathalie Chetto shifts the emphasis towards transparency and freshness, while maintaining the character of the composition.
The fragrance opens with bright citrus notes of green mandarin and Japanese yuzu – they set a light, almost sparkling tone. The heart contains juniper berries, pink pepper and ginger, which add dynamics and spicy tension to the composition. A floral accord of rose and magnolia softens the structure, while the base of cedar and musk forms a recognizable, warm trail.
In this version, Orphéon sounds less chamber—like a daytime continuation of a nighttime story. It retains the spirit of bohemian Paris, but speaks in a modern, lighter language.
Ahead of the launch of the new Orphéon Aromateque, a private event was held in the Vinyla music space, where guests could experience aroma combined with jazz aesthetics. It was here, among vinyl, flickering candles and neon lights, that the atmosphere of the iconic Orphéon club was recreated. Vinyla Bar presented exquisite cocktails inspired by the aroma and tradition of the Parisian bar, and the musical community FUSION JAMS recreated the sound of the era with a live jazz performance. Aroma, music and taste merged into a single story, conveying the mood of the legendary jazz club. This is a complete immersion in the world of Orphéon – a tribute to artistic exuberance and free spirit.
