In March 2025, Jack McCullough and Lázaro Hernández, appointed creative directors of Loewe, presented their first bag for the Spanish House on the spring-summer 2026 runway. The founders and former executives of Proenza Schouler turned to the brand's archives to reimagine its heritage through the prism of their own conceptual aesthetic and experimental approach.

The result is the Amazona 180, a modern interpretation of the iconic Amazona bag, first introduced by Loewe in 1975. It was launched during a period of profound social and cultural change, when women were actively asserting their independence and freedom. The name refers to the Amazons, legendary warriors from Greek mythology who personify strength and emancipation. This archival design was previously reinterpreted by Jonathan Anderson in the Fall-Winter 2021/2022 campaign with Freya Beha Eriksen.

Today, this rectangular, elegant and functional bag model returns in a new interpretation dedicated to the brand's 180th anniversary – and Bella Hadid has already managed to “walk” it. In Los Angeles, the model was spotted in a restrained look with a leather jacket, white top and straight jeans, and on her shoulder was exactly it – the Amazona 180 in black leather. This versatile silhouette has every chance of becoming the new object of desire among women all over the world.
