Since wrapping Stranger Things, Sadie Sink has maintained a hectic schedule, and devotees of the MCU are fairly certain they know the character she will portray in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. While the actress and Marvel Studios have been discreet regarding her part, conjectures surrounding her selection alluded to a potential connection to the MCU’s X-Men.
Sadie mentioned during a conversation with Jimmy Fallon in January 2026 that it’s been “torture” withholding details about her character. Contributing to the fervor were online fan theories, which made her realize she had, in fact, been chosen for Brand New Day.
“I learned about it through online theories. Prior to my casting in Spider-Man, there was online speculation suggesting, ‘Sadie Sink will appear in the upcoming Spider-Man.’ My reaction was, ‘Really? Is that so?’” the Whale actress stated, before adding, “As it turned out, two days later, I received an offer. So, there is often some truth to these theories.”
Regarding the role she will play, Sadie noted that there has been “considerable conjecture” surrounding it and added, “I feel like a new character surfaces each week,” in reference to theories proposed by fans.
