The 98th Academy Awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on the night of March 15-16, 2026. The main favorite this year was Paul Thomas Anderson's “One Battle After Another,” which won the categories “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” “Best Adapted Screenplay,” and others.

However, Lockjaw, a white supremacist (a racist ideology) who does not forgive such acts, takes revenge on the couple 16 years later by kidnapping their daughter.
