Daryl Hannah
Daryl Hannah, who was romantically linked to JFK. Jr. intermittently from the latter part of the 1980s until 1994, penned a fierce critique condemning the television show for its depiction of her and her past relationship with the departed lawyer.
“The ‘Daryl Hannah’ character presented in the series bears no accurate resemblance to my existence, my behavior, or my connection with John,” the Splash actress expressed in her New York Times piece. “The actions and demeanors credited to me are simply not factual. I have never ingested cocaine at any point in my lifetime nor thrown cocaine-centric gatherings. I have never coerced someone into a marital commitment. I have never defiled any familial relic or disrupted anyone’s intimate commemoration. I have never leaked any item to the media. I have never equated Jacqueline Onassis’ passing to that of a dog. It’s distressing that I am even obligated to defend myself against a television program. These aren’t imaginative expansions on character. These are assertions pertaining to behavior — and they are untruthful.”

Daryl also emphasized that “narration necessitates suspense. It frequently demands an impediment. Yet, an actual, living human being is not a storytelling instrument. There’s furthermore a gendered component to this viewpoint.”
“Popular culture has for a long time celebrated some women by portraying other women as rivals, hindrances or adversaries. Is it not blatant misogyny to belittle one woman to uplift another?” Daryl questioned.
Jack Schlossberg
Jack Schlossberg, JFK Jr.’s nephew, briefly addressed the program during a CBS Sunday Morning segment, and he delivered a jab at Ryan, who served as executive producer on Love Story.

“Well, if you’re curious about someone who’s never encountered a member of my family, and has no insight into us, go speak with Ryan Murphy,” Jack remarked. “I would simply hope that individuals who do view the program do so with one character in their thoughts, specifically a capital F representing fiction. The fellow is clueless about what he’s referencing, and he’s generating considerable wealth from a distasteful exhibition of someone else’s existence.”
