SOVA Jewelry House continues the story of Mavka – this time in collaboration with the feature film “Mavka. A True Myth”, which reveals the Ukrainian myth in a deep and realistic reading. The new collection is a conversation about the sensual connection of man with nature, from which the love of Mavka and Lukyan is born in the film. Inspired by the atmosphere of the ancient forest during the magical Mermaid's Week, it is built around three key symbols: Water Lily, Fern and Mavka's Pendant.

The water lily refers to the Dark Lake, a full-fledged character in the film that hides secrets and is at the same time the home of mythical creatures. The soft, rounded petals are embodied in yellow gold – in rings, mono earrings, pendants and bracelets. Some of the jewelry has a laconic polished finish, others are encrusted with blue and turquoise stones that shimmer like light on water.

The image of the Fern reveals the dark side of the myth. The golden leaves appear on a deep background with a relief texture created by the ruthenium coating. The contrast enhances the volume and drama of the form – as if the sign emerges from the darkness. The collection includes graphic unisex jewelry: cuffs, earrings and a choker with a leather base.

Mavka's pendant is a personal symbol of the heroine, specially created for the film. In the collection, it is interpreted in a necklace and earrings – as a sign of vulnerability, memory and connection with the world of people. The heroes of the campaign are Arina Bocharova and Ivan Dovzhenko, the main actors of the film, who embodied this love story and myth in the frame.

“We discovered Mavka's Universe during our collaboration with the animated film, and it was important for us to continue this path with the feature film. This work showed the heroine differently – deep and dramatic, and her love with Lukyan was truly revealed. It was this contrast in the images of the myth that we conveyed in the jewelry – through shape, texture, and symbols,” comments Lyudmila Sova, CEO of the SOVA jewelry house.
