The 2026 Daytona 500 concluded in a surprising way. During the last moments of the race, multiple drivers crashed close to the finish, and Tyler Reddick emerged as the victor. The triumph represented a significant achievement for Tyler, as it occurred roughly a year after he secured second place in the 2025 Daytona 500 event.

Reflecting on his journey leading up to the 2026 triumph, Tyler mentioned that the preceding year “was truly challenging for all involved, especially for me.”

“When you’re a Cup competitor, and you advance to this echelon and compete for Michael Jordan, it’s anticipated that you’ll secure a victory each and every season,” he stated, via NASCAR. “The ensuing drought prompted profound introspection, and I am exceedingly grateful to everyone on our Chumba Casino Toyota Camry team. We dedicated ourselves during the offseason, and there were instances during the race where we didn’t execute our preferred decisions, but we recentered ourselves, and with each opportunity to reset, we pushed forward.”

Expressing that he was “at a loss for words,” Tyler admitted he “wasn’t sure if I would ever be victorious in this race. It feels unreal, to be honest.”
