Behind the wheel of the new Porsche Macan GTS, you immediately feel: this is a real sports car with an electric heart. Press the gas pedal – and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds feels like an explosion of energy. But the Macan GTS is not only about speed: adaptive suspension, intelligent assistance systems and voice assistant make driving easy, comfortable and safe. Nice, a picturesque city on the French Riviera, welcomed me warmly – +14 °C after the bitter January frosts felt like a real escape from reality. The Porsche team invited media from around the world to introduce journalists and editors to their big news – the Macan GTS – the most powerful version of the electric car, which will be released in spring 2026.
Laconic and headstrong, the new Macan GTS has everything Porsche is known for: sporty body lines, the recognizable “look” of the headlights and a soft leather interior, where you can choose shades to match the body color. Inside, you will find technological displays, sporty mode control and a favorite feature – a unique acoustic profile in Sport and Sport Plus modes. This is exactly the “growl” that makes the heart beat faster and makes every trip exciting.
The test drive routes, pre-planned by the Porsche team, were not only picturesque, but also thought out in detail to maximize the potential of the electric car. I press the pedal – and the Macan GTS immediately demonstrates its confidence on the road. It holds the course perfectly even at high speed, instantly reacting to every movement of the steering wheel. I was lucky enough to drive all types of roads: bends in the mountain area, narrow streets of ancient towns and wide highways of Nice. The result is an absolute feeling of safety, comfort and full performance in all conditions.
I was particularly impressed by the technological sophistication of the Macan GTS and its assistance in everyday tasks. The optional Remote Park Assist system with 3D viewing automatically finds available parking spaces – parallel, perpendicular and even diagonal. The cameras provide a full view, and the system can memorize individual routes and repeat them automatically. The parking process can even be controlled via a smartphone, staying no further than 5 meters from the car.
Another useful feature is traffic forecasting. The Macan GTS adapts speed, acceleration, braking and cornering to help you maintain an optimal pace and adhere to traffic regulations. Navigation data, cameras and sensors create a realistic 3D model of the road on the display, and if necessary, the car can change lanes independently – you just need to signal and watch the process.
Porsche has gone even further and transformed one of the Macan GTS’s displays into a mobile gaming console. Music, podcasts, movies and games from Gameloft and Obscure Interactive are all available via the touchscreen or a Bluetooth controller. The voice assistant has become even smarter thanks to artificial intelligence: it understands complex questions, context and allows you to control the car’s functions using natural language.

This electric car combines sporty character with modern technology, reacts instantly to every movement and gives you the feeling of complete control over the road.
