“People we meet on vacation”
Adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name by Emily Henry. The story centers on Poppy (Emily Bader), a charming travel writer from New York. She is invited to the wedding of her friend David (Miles Geiser) in Barcelona, and realizes that this is an opportunity to reconnect with David's brother, her former best friend Alex (Tom Blythe). They haven't spoken in two years, and as the story progresses, we watch Poppy recall her friendship with Alex and how their falling out happened in a series of flashbacks.
A light and beautiful film about friendship, from which love is born.
“Unexpected Valentine”
What happens when a normal road trip takes you to an unexpected place? In “The Unexpected Valentine,” Hannah and Finn race across New York City together to retrieve a lost engagement ring in hopes of saving one couple's wedding day. A somewhat naive but lighthearted film about how love can strike us anywhere, anytime.
“Long live love!”
Stella is a hat designer who tries to impress socialite Rosalind in hopes of starting her own business. However, when she meets Christian, Rosalind's charming son, who trains a horse for the Louisville Derby, sparks fly between them. A comedy directed by Amy Barrett that's great to watch with a large group of friends.
“Naiad”
In “Naiad,” Annette Bening plays Diana Naiad, a long-distance swimmer and openly lesbian who, at age 60, decides to pursue her dream of swimming 110 miles in the open ocean from Cuba to Florida. Jodie Foster plays her coach and best friend Bonnie Stoll, and the film itself is an ode to queer friendship and female empowerment. A sensual and tender film that offers a unique perspective on life and relationships.
“Lisa Frankenstein”
This horror comedy centers on a goth girl who meets and develops a relationship with a Victorian-era pianist who died in the 1800s but was revived by a lightning strike. An original auteur film that marks the directorial debut of 36-year-old Zelda Williams, daughter of actor Robin Williams.
