The chill departed the ice rink by the conclusion of Heated Rivalry’s first showing. As devoted fans are aware thanks to the tales penned by Rachel Reid, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov eventually admit their affections and start a relationship at the close of season 1. The concluding episode paves the way for Reid’s The Long Game, which dives into Ilya and Shane’s journey as a committed pair. So, just when can we anticipate the debut of season 2?

Here at Hollywood Life, we’re dedicated to delivering you the latest information regarding the expected premiere of Heated Rivalry season 2.

When Will We See Heated Rivalry Season 2?

Per the show’s creative mind, Jacob Tierney, the arrival of season 2 won’t match the “same yearly timing” as its 2025 launch in November. Therefore, it’s plausible that the second installment will air at some point in 2027.

“It can’t happen the same time next year because a year ago I had already completed five scripts, but this year, I’ve completed none,” Jacob mentioned to Variety in December 2025. “Therefore, there will be a slight delay, but it’s still coming soon. … We acknowledge that the goal is to prevent a two-year gap between seasons.”

However, Jacob clarified, “At the same time, I’m not inclined to release a subpar season two just because the series has gained immense popularity. But we’re fully aware that our artistic collaborators are eager and wish to avoid an extended wait. We’re getting back to work!”

Tierney stated in January 2026 that he hadn’t commenced writing yet. That month, during a Today show spot, Connor Storrie was questioned about the possibility of filming beginning in the summer of 2026, to which he responded, “Yeah, I think around then.”

Who From Heated Rivalry Will Return for Season 2?

The show’s principal actors, Hudson Williams, who embodies Shane Hollander, alongside Connor, who brings Ilya Rozanov to life, are assuredly coming back for season 2. These performers committed to participating in three seasons of the Crave series, according to GQ.

Other members of the ensemble, notably Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh, are also predicted to make a return. Christina, portraying Shane’s mother, Yuna, in the series, hinted at her excitement for season 2 during a one-on-one chat with Hollywood Life at the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women event in January 2026.

“Just more support for her new son, her ‘adopted son,’” Christina revealed, talking about Ilya. “I am eager to reunite with my fellow actors on set, and deepen the unfolding of this narrative.”

Will Scott & Kip Appear in Season 2 of Heated Rivalry?

Actors François Arnaud and Robbie G.K., playing Scott Hunter and Kip Grady, respectively, have not yet made a public declaration regarding their return for season 2. However, given the fact their characters are introduced in the Game Changers book series, it’s probable they’ll reappear to further explore their relationship.
